Job Summary:
This individual will assist in all aspects of the quarterly and year-end tax reporting function, including data collection, preparation/review of FAS 109/ASC 740 and FIN 48 calculations. Analyze transactions to ensure proper tax accounting treatment. Prep! aration of effective tax rate reports for senior management. C! omply with Sarbanes Oxley 404 requirements. Liaise with other internal departments and local country finance personnel to ensure accuracy of global tax provision. Assist in tax initiatives related to process improvements in the reporting process.
Functional Responsibilities:
- Prepare & record tax provision in accordance with detailed US FAS 109/ASC 740 calculations
- Prepare & record detailed FIN 48 calculations
- Assist in preparation and management of effective tax rate
- Prepare roll-forward tax balance sheet accounts and analyze for accuracy and reasonableness
- Ensure that tax accounting process meets/exceeds Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 internal control requirements
- Build and manage relationships internally with other departments and country accounting/tax personnel to ensure accurate tax reporting
- Miscellaneous tax research and other projects
- 2-5! yrs. tax accounting & reporting experience.
- Bachelorâs Degree in Accounting required. Masterâs in Taxation preferred.
- CPA required. Big 4 experience preferred.
- FAS 109/ASC 740 tax provision & related concepts (e.g., FIN 48, APB 23, etc.)
- SEC reporting & SOX 404 controls
- Strong accounting and analytical skills
- Detail oriented
- Strong computer skills: proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point. tax software experience preferred but not necessary)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to communicate technical tax issues with non-tax people
- Ability to prepare supporting documentation for & interact with external auditors.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to multi-task
- International Tax Concepts (preferred but not necessary)
