Basic Function:
Process cash transactions, perform general final loan loss reconciliations and prepare timely and accurate reporting in support of the Customer Asset Management Residential Mortgage Default Department.
Responsibilities:
- Timely processing of daily cash received in the defa! ult departments via checks and wires, including reinstatements! ,
- Prepares final loan loss reconciliations and corresponding loan level detail.
- Tracks and processes REO Book ins, Short Sales and walkaway requests to Mortgage Accounting
- Reconciles and monitors default related general ledger accounts
- Prepares default accounting reports for management
- Performs other assignments/projects as requested by management
- Overtime as required
- Associate’s degree or High School diploma (or GED), plus two years (2) relevant experience
- Minimum four year’s work experience with at least three years of accounting experience
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Proven ability to manage priorities to meet multiple changing objectives and deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Spreadsheets !
- Demonstrated ability to gather and research data to prepare routine financial accounting reports
- Demonstrated advanced analytical and problem solving skills
- Proven ability to work accurately under time constraints
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Default Mortgage Servicing Experience
- Mortgage servicing experience, including investor, FHA, VA and private insurance agency's regulations and guidelines
- Experience with LPS mortgage servicing system (MSP) and Invoice Management
- Knowledge of FCS and VIEWPO mainframe applications
