Major Purpose:
- Process d! aily work; maintain compliance with rules and regulations, with attention to bank policy, procedures and regulatory deadlines.
- Ensure that assigned workload is completed within all deadlines and SLAs. The associate would have a high skill level on many functions and job processes within the operational unit.
- May help to ensure department procedures are written, available, and current.
- Work well within a team and help to create a positive team environment.
- May assist other staff in solving internal and external customer issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems, ensuring management is in agreement with non-routine resolutions.
- Recommend changes or alternate ways in processing methods to allow improved operating efficiency and service levels.
- Work collaboratively with other areas of the bank.
- Maintain integrity of reporting and documents per my assigned functions.
- May be involved in acquisitions ! and divestitures as needed.
- May assist in training of! other team members.
- Identifying reportable transactions and accurately completing, reviewing, filing and retaining the required reports such as Suspicious Activity Reports (“SARsâ€), Currency Transactions Reports
- (“CTRsâ€), Negotiable Instrument Logs (“NILsâ€) and CTR Exemptions.
- Annual reviews of CTR exempt persons and periodic reconciliation of all CTR exempt person files and accounts.
- Accessing and utilizing all available systems to locate information needed to complete a
- Maintaining records in accordance with the requirements of the AML/BSA regulations.
- Responding to questions and requests for information from client employees regarding AML/BSA
- Identifying, researching and resolving AML/BSA compliance issues.
- Other duties as assigned or requested and assisting with special projects as needed.
- Must adhere to pertinent laws, regulat! ions, client’s Compliance Policy and external compliance requirements; including SOX Key Controls.
- Other duties and assignments as required by management.
- Transaction monitoring and Customer Service Experience Required.
- Experience in the Financial Services industry or education in Criminal Justice strongly preferred.
- Associate degree in criminal justice, business, accounting, finance or related discipline, or commensurate job experience.
- Requisite experience of three to five years in financial services compliance audit, investigative, fraud, security, and/or anti-money laundering and BSA functions.
- Project management experience in a banking environment preferred
- Some college/university experience or Associate degree preferred
- Business acumen â€" branch banking processes and procedures
