EDI / Customer Service Specialist

Location: Long Island New York

Description: Triple Eight Distribution is looking of EDI / Customer Service Specialist right now, this vacancy will be placed in New York. Triple Eight Distribution is looking for an EDI / Customer Service Specialist to be responsible for various day-to-day operations of its New York office. Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Process all daily EDI orders received and coordinate shipment of orders with our third party warehouse
++ Larger accounts utilize EDI automated order systems â€" process all such orders with EDI
++ Analyze and correct errors on EDI transmissions
++ Coordinate setup of new EDI customers with 3rd Party EDI provider
++ Manage Accounts Receivable for all respective EDI customers

  • Handle incoming customer calls and be able to speak intelligently about our product line to take and enhance customer orders
  • Process all return & exchange requests and related customer service inquiries
  • Assist with office support via phones, fax, supply ordering, etc.
  • Get involved with company sales efforts
++ Assist National Sales Manager with specific sales initiatives

Key Pe! rsonal Attributes Include:
  • Should have some i! nterest in action sports industry
  • Must be well organized, detailed and able to manage a variety of tasks at the same time
  • Should have excellent verbal and writing skills and be a strong communicator
  • Desire to learn all aspects of a growing business
  • Be proactive, confident and have fun with everything you do
Key Experience Should Include:
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
  • Experience with Finance programs is a plus (AccountEdge/Quicken/Peachtree)
  • Experience with EDI
  • Bachelor’s Degree
