The Investment Assistant is the entry-level position within the Direct Response Television Buying group. He/she is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance within the buying group which includes some of the following:
The following are the responsibilities and duties of the Investment Assistant. This is not an all-inclusive list and will vary by account assignment.
Stewardship:
? Assist buyers with all planning and buying responsibilities including: calling for rates, pulling demographics, inputting buys into Core, sending schedules to stations, confirming orders/changes, checking and clearing invoices, faxing, etc.
? Participate in the construction of related analyses
? Help track the performance and spending of all buys
? Resolve billing discrepancies
? Clear invoices and help with the reconciliation process
? Call for exact times and input times (including BVS)
Negotiation Support:
? Assist buyers with research prior to the buy.
? Begin development of negotiation skills
? Develop media knowledge base in preparation for media responsibilities
? Attend internal and external meetings and presentations
? Keep abreast of industry trends through advertising and media trade journals
Additional Skills:
Must be computer literate and able to use excel, word, PowerPoint
Should be detail oriented, meticulous and a team player, articulate and organized
