McLane, the world’s leading provider of grocery and foodservice supply chain solutions, seeks an experienced Transportation Operations Manager to maintain smooth operation of the Transportation Department and provide general supervision of all transportation teammates, including over 60 CDL drivers and administrative staff. Responsibilities include managing routing and scheduling processes, safety and DOT compliance, expense control and budget management. This position requires an effective working relationship with Warehouse Operations and Customer Service to ensure accurate and on time deliveries to our customers.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ recent experience in distribution management and at least 1 year of experience in a supervisory role.
A four-year degree in logistics, business administration, management, or equivalent work experience is preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office, routing and scheduling software such as PeopleNet and Trucks as well as knowledge of DOT Rules and Regulations are also required.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively with employees.
