For complete informations about this occupation opportunity kindly read the description below. Candidate is responsible for the architecture, design and operations of the database infrastructure. This candidate will work with Application, Network/Systems and User Support teams to ma! intain acceptable performance, reliability and security of SQL server databases.
1. Maintain a functional, secure and fast database infrastructure with Microsoft SQL server. This will include troubleshooting problems as they arise and monitoring key aspects of SQL to proactively address issues.
2. Design support structure for database infrastructure, including systems architecture, monitoring, documentation, policies and procedures, backup and disaster recovery, best practices and support automation.
3. Provide technical support for the database environment including overseeing the development and organization of the databases.
4. Ongoing assessment of database performance and the identification of problem areas. Works with network, server, and application engineers to remediate problem areas.
5. Provide and design tools to assist in the management of the database environment.
6. Provide working model for continuing capa! city assessment and planning
7. Performs other duties! as assigned
EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or the equivalent experience
EXPERIENCE:
2-3 years of IT Operation with strong understanding of database structure, theories, principles and practices
2-3 years of Microsoft SQL Server experience
SQL Server 2008, database administration, database tuning, database management, database security, clustering
