This Marketing Manager role within Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting division will create and execute the marketing strategy for our popular professional research and learn! ing products. This person needs to be a strategic and analytical thinker as well as a self-starter, with the know-how, experience and enthusiasm to hit the ground running and to make a significant impact on the business.
This individual will be a member of the business unit marketing team and will collaborate with the central creative and web marketing teams, global marketing counterparts, product management, field and inside sales teams, and editorial product development teams. Must be able to analyze market opportunities and business drivers to optimize marketing strategy and campaign execution.
Responsibilities:
Define, build and drive the strategic messaging and marketing plans for a wide variety of research and learning solutions for tax and accounting professionals â" demonstrate an ability to design and execute marketing strategies to drive revenue goals
Design multifaceted B2B marketing plans to increase brand/product awareness! and generate leads from new prospective customers, leveraging! email marketing, direct mail, content marketing, search marketing, tradeshows, etc.
Partner with product management to establish go-to-market plans for new product launches and platform major releases
Develop global, relevant, differentiated messages and stories for complex solutions in support of launches, platforms and campaigns
Partner with sales to establish a standard customer lifecycle model to enable efficient customer prospecting, acquisition, penetration and retention (CRM)
Develop lead generation and nurturing programs via thought leadership content marketing and social selling â" creation of customer case studies, videos, breaking news reports, white papers, etc.
Build out and execute on comprehensive E-Commerce go-to-market strategies to drive traffic, engagement and orders
Take on a leadership role for Paid Search campaigns via thematic keyword and copy development, landing page optimization, promotional a! d copy management
Optimize website content to ensure both search engine visibility and favorable user experience
Collect and share best practices and benchmarks â" develop test plans and recommendations that drive learning and optimization
Understand levers that can drive improvements in Email Marketing and E-Commerce Web Merchandising CTR, Conversion Rates, Average Order Value, and ROI
Measure and report performance against established metrics
Make strategic decisions with strong interpersonal skills, facilitation capabilities and strong verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications
Education:
BS required (with a focus in Marketing), MBA preferred
Qualifications:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Executive-ready presentation skills
Very proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
The ability to influence and work across organizational boundaries
Challenge the status quo with facts and defend decisions with evidence
Project management skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Experience with Salesforce.com and Eloqua or equivalent marketing automation systems
Experience with interpreting and acting on Web Analyticss
Strong understanding of ROI-oriented ecommerce marketing and Internet advertising models
Must be able to multi-task wel! l in a fast-paced environment
Professional Experience:
5 or more years of experience in a B2B marketing corporate environment
5 or more years of experience in strategic marketing, sales team enablement and lead generation
Background in strategy, analysis and vertical marketing
Direct experience with managing an active e-commerce site in terms of marketing, product
merchandising, optimizing traffic and conversion rates
Expertise in Email Marketing best practices and execution
Direct experience and proven results in Search Engine Marketing and use of Social Media in marketing
