The Field Service Engineer will be in charge of pre-defined operation, installation, maintena! nce, repair, testing, adjustment, troubleshooting and technical assistance based on good engineering, manufacturing, installation and operation practices as applicable to upstream oil exploration / production equipment.
In particular, he/she will be responsible for:
Operation, Installation or maintenance of company and customer equipment (Control Systems, MMI/HMI Computers and PLCs for Wellheads, Valves, Production trees, Chokes, etc.) in accordance with the companyâÂÂs recommended procedures, methods & guides
Running and re-dressing of subsea trees, setting up of HPU, CPUâÂÂs.
Assisting with stack up LRP, EDP and trees, including pressure testing of subsea tree setting up of HPU, CPU testing,
Servicing and repairing of Wellhead Control Panels including pressure testing hydraulic umbilical hoses and WOCS HPU systems also flushing umbilical hoses and fluid tanks
Comprehensive job preplanning including all logistic! s, tooling, Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), & technical ! workscopes applicable to assignments
Timely completion of all post job and administrative duties including but not limited to customer and service reports, timesheets, job debriefs and tooling tracking.
Use of company e-tools to retrieve technical documents and management of packing list, bill of materials, drawings, prior job reports etc.
The proactive interface between all functions of the company and our customers concerning technical, operational & EHS challenges as applicable to any assignment
Mentorship, development & guidance of less experienced peers
Safe & compliant performance of all activities inline with the companyâÂÂs and our customerâÂÂs environmental health & Safety (EHS) guidelines and procedures
Uncompromising integrity to ensure 100% compliance with regulatory and company rules and requirements
Maintaining a strong customer relationship through a positive, proactive & professional approa! ch
Perform other related duties as assigned by manager
Qualification:
Electric Engineer Degree or Technical High School
3 - 5+ years related work experience either in engineering or field service
Previous experience in the Upstream Oil & Gas industry
Ability to understand and implement electrical and mechanical drawings
Familiarity with upstream oil equipment specifications and procedures
Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing in a technical environment
Ability to accommodate frequent worldwide travel working varying hours in difficult working conditions on short notice
Strong analytic and problem solving skills
Strong Computer skills including operating systems and standard office software
Ability to obtain all required Security and Safety Clearances and Certifications
Desired:
Knowledge of operation, installation ! and / or maintenance exploration & production equipment on Land, Offsho! re or Subsea.
Certified to work in an offshore environment
Programming experience for PLC and PC control systems and MMI interfaces such as Wonderware
Field proven knowledge of loop, wire and function checks of a control system.
Expertise with control system communication protocals including but not limited to tcp/ip, modbus, fieldbus, profibus etc.
