Location: New York New York
Description: Random House U.S.A is looking of Business Analyst right now, this job will be placed in New York. More complete informations about this job opportunity please read the description below. The Sales Strategic Planning group is looking for a Business Analyst to join the team.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing monthly reporting on billings, targets, customers, divisions and ! top titles for use by senior management
- Providing consolidated & detailed sales information vs budget and prior years to Sr Management
- Utilizing OTIS to forecast initials
- Forecasting reorders and returns based on current and historical trends
- Providing information on marketplace, competition and current orders for mid-month forecasting
- Approving promotional terms of sale and other new product type requests
- Providing analytical support for new terms initiatives (such as retail allowance)
- Providing analysis for and tracks meeting competition agreements.
- Analyzing / reviewing / approving coop growth requests
The ideal candidate has a college degree or equivalent. Applicants should also have 2-3 years of similar experience, ideally with a publishing or media company and /or bookstore retail experience.
- Must have excellent excel skills using vlookups and / ! or arrays
- Must be able to present complex information! from multiple sources of data in a simple manner
- Must have excellent problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work on multiple projects and be attentive to details and deadlines
