Web 2.0 Front End Developer

Location: New York New York

Further informations about this job opportunity kindly see the descriptions. Leading firm in lower Manhattan seeks a Web 2.0 Front End Developer as a w2 consultant

The Group has a team of developers focusing on front-end web application development using ad! vanced JavaScript architecture.

The team is looking to grow the practice in order to meet demand across the department’s portfolio.

Applications are built using a RESTful architecture and the developer will need to be able to analyze wireframes, determine endpoint integration points with the Java backend system, and code front end templates with good usability practices and industry best security practices.

REQUESTED SKILLSET
1. JavaScript and JavaScript design patterns (next generation)
2. Backbone.js; JQuery-advanced level
3. Ability to create libraries and APIs in JavaScript
4. Ability to document and create and maintain JavaScript coding guidelines
5. understanding of REST and its architectural use in Web 2.0 web applications

Advanced JavaScript including jQuery and popular look and feel libraries; Proven experience designing optimized and usable interfaces for financial applications; Ability to produce clean, we! ll-organized markup. Responsibility with personal conduct, com! munication skills and ability to meet deadlines required.

Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly define deliverables and manage expectations from multiple stakeholders; Excellent understanding of web security and mitigation of top threats

OTHER SKILLS

• Ability to write standards compliant, well organized HTML / CSS3
• Source control using SVN
• understanding of REST and its architectural use in Web 2.0 web applications
• Grasp of front end web application security threats and mitigations
• Java/Spring experience a plus
