Credit and Collections Supervisor
Haymarket Media, Inc. is seeking a (b2b) Credit and Collections Supervisor to join its Accounting department based in New York, NY. This full-time position (35 hours/week) is high profile with excellent opportunity for learning and growth. Applicants should have strong computer skills and superior communication and time management skills. Salary range is $45k - $50k annually (based on experience level).
Job Description: Full-Time Credit and Collections Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
- Ove! rsee all credit and collections activities for dynamic media c! ompany
- Manage and oversee credit/collections staff
- Contact clients on aging issues
- Monitor 3rd party Collections Agencies for updates and progress reports
- Implement a process of sending demand to customers on a regular schedule
- Maintain the accounts on credit holds for past due accounts
- Calculate, monitor and improve DSO
- Prepare weekly cash collection reports
- Prepare and submit bi-weekly aging reports to brand managers and sales team
- Monitor and update customer information in general ledger system
- Initiate requests for Credit Memos as necessary and pursue postings as requested
- Supply W-9 forms to Clients as requested
- Make changes in finance system as required (Addresses, contacts, etc.)
- Manage Equifax and D&B reporting
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in credit and collections
- College degree strongly preferred
- Media/advertising back! ground required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- Superior organization and time management skills a must
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, sales team, accounting department and senior management
- Needs to possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
