OVERVIEW:
This ro! le will be responsible for
assisting with design, implementation, and maintenance of current large scale physical and virtual consolidated infrastructures as well as with the design, test and implementation of future technologies within the virtual space.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Participate in all aspects of infrastructure service delivery to support the business.
·
Assists and mentors offshore/onshore support personnel when issues exist or when others are having trouble resolving issues.
·
Assist in maintaining a framework that promotes continual improvement through monitoring, preventative maintenance, and capacity planning.
·
Continually improves internal infrastructure and virtualization operations with a focus on service, efficiency and cost.
·
Identifies problems, conceive solutions, create business justification and execute solutions.
·
Will ! apply changes in accordance with change management policies and procedu! res
·
Develop and implement test plans to verify installation, upgrades or repairs, including back-out plans
·
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
·
Bachelor’s degree or technical equivalent in Computer Science and/or Business Administration
·
‘VCP 4 or VCP 5 desired.
·
Minimum 3 to 5 years proven experience with VMware Vsphere ESXi 4.x and/or 5.x. Experience with Vcenter 4.x and/or 5.x and troubleshooting performance based virtual issues
·
Deep understanding of VMware networking, HA, DRS, Storage DRS and vMware best practices.
·
Experience with multiple Operating Systems (Microsoft, Unix)
·
Experience with VMware View, vCenter Operations Manager, vCloud Director a plus.
·
Experience with EMC, IBM and HP data storage systems a plus
·
Experience working! with off-shore resources a plus.
·
Expertise is required in Enterprise Level infrastructure, operations, local and wide area networks, server technologies, client/server, thin client, virus protection, email, backup/disaster recovery, security management, services procurement and provisioning network monitoring tools and advanced storage technologies.
·
Tier 1 ERP experience is strongly preferred.
·
Effective verbal and written communication is required with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and quality.
·
Must have good analytical, statistical and problem solving skills with excellent understanding of current IT trends and their impact on business strategies.
