New York Public Radio is seeking an intern to work in the digital technology department. You will be part of an agile team to support WNYC, the nation’s largest public radio station, as well as WQXR, The Greene Space, New Jersey Public Radio and national shows such as Radiolab, On the Media, The Takeaway and Studio 360.

This internship consists of tasks related to digital analytics, working within our analytics toolset (Google Analytics, Mailchimp, Doubleclic! k for Publishers) to measure the performance of various aspect! s of our business.

Projects this role will work on might include: tracking the success of our numerous online pledge calls-to-action, identifying engagement trends in our daily and weekly newsletters, measuring advertisement performance across our properties, and much more. The role will require not only the ability to cut through the weeds of our analytics tools, but also an acutely analytical mind that can extract key takeaways from mountains of data.

This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated individual who is interested in leaning more about digital media/technology. The fundamentals of data analysis are key in all business strategy, and this internship will providereal-world experience in analysis..

Some skills you will gain:
Experience with digital metrics tracking systems (Google Analytics, Chartbeat, Doubleclick)

Experience working with content management (Django)

Quality Assurance

Under! standing of basic web development process

An inner view of what it's like to work in the digital operations, product, technology and content teams for public radio

Tasks include but are not limited to:
Digital research

Synthesizing data and extrapolating conclusions

Data presentation via spreadsheets and slides

Data optimization and goal setting

Qualifications:
Must be a graduate student, an undergraduate student or a recent graduate (must have graduated from college within twelve months of the beginning the internship semester).

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
