Exper! is is looking to grow its staff associated with our Risk Advisory Financial Services practice. We ideally are looking for a Subject Matter Expert in the BSA/AML arena. The hired individual will be able to partner and provide support to key clients such as global, regional and community banks, as well as broker-dealers, hedge funds and asset management firms. This particular individual will execute as well as provide thought leadership / guidance to these clients with respect to their AML Framework, and provide oversight to other AML audit engagements that are performed by other members of the team. Therefore, this position requires extensive knowledge of BSA/AML regulation in banking as well as brokerage, in addition to a background in compliance and audit best practices. CAMS certification is a plus.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Develop and conduct regulatory compliance audit programs and AML internal audits
- Review com! pliance risk assessment and compliance programs and make recommendations for process improvement initiatives
- Review compliance programs, and identify and evaluate compliance risks, mitigating controls and opportunities for internal control improvements.
- Report findings to the client's management and Board of Directors as required
- Draft Internal Audit reports; and,
- Provide subject matter expertise to guide other staff in assisting in these review
- Bachelor's degree in relevant subject area required (accounting, auditing, finance, etc.)
- Minimum 7 years of banking and/or financial internal Audit experience, with at least 4 years experience concentrating in AML
- High level expertise, knowledge and experience as bank Compliance Manager/Officer, BSA/AML Officer, Compliance Auditor, Regulatory Examiner, or Financial Institution Internal Auditor
- CRCM, CAMS, CIA Certification ! or prior experience as a bank examiner a plus
- Extensive experi! ence working with Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations and USA Patriot Act
- Working knowledge of regulatory environment and applicable banking regulations impacting the financial services industry
- Ability to identify and communicate solutions to complex, time-critical or recurring business issues
- Excellent communication, documentation, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to travel up to 35%
