Job Summary

Conducts business process analyses and needs assessments in an effort to align information technology solutions with Company initiatives. Writes, tests, and modifies programming codes as necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Consults with personnel to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, data scope, usage, formatting, and security requirements.
  • Leads the identification assessment and resolution of complex issues and escalates them appropriately.
  • Proactively identifies and prioritizes opportunities to streamline business systems processes.
  • Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures.
  • Writes, maintains, tracks, and documents functional specifications for new and modified business systems.
  • Participates in the delivery of system solutions (e.g., configuration, testing, deployment, validation).
  • Consults and coordinates with team members to design, develop, and code programming systems and automated business systems.
  • Implements plans to test business and functional processes during system development and quality assurance testing.
  • Assists with developing, preparing, and conducting training on computer hardware and software usage.
  • Supports production and development environments and provides on-call support after business hours as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Intermediate knowledge of SAP reporting and transactional applications.
  • Intermediate knowledge of relational database and client-server concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical information.
  • Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
  • Ability to research information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to reason, form concepts and recognize and solve problems.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret information.
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to show information in presentation or diagram form.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field and zero to two or more years of related experience; or six years of an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.

  • Continuously required to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception or the ability to focus.
  • Frequently required to talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to use fine finger movements (ex. sorting and typing).
  • Frequently required to sit for long periods of time.
  • Occasionally required to use hands for reaching, touching or handling.
  • Occasionally required to push, pull, maneuver or lift objects up to 40 lbs.
  • Occasionally required to bend, kneel or squat.
  • Occasionally required to stand or walk.

  • Work is generally performed in an office environment.
  • Quiet to moderate noise level.
