The person in this position performs and is responsible for a variety of data entry functions including tracking, maintaining, and handling health records and data entry of medical records.
Will sort, scan, and electronically file client health records accurately.
This person will, as needed, handle release of protected health information in compliance with organizational policies and HIPAA laws, and maintain the security of health information.
Works in an office environment and in coordination with the billing and clerical departments. Work is detail oriented and necessitates strong emphasis on both quantity and quality.
Answering patient phone calls.
Daily entrance of demographics into health information system.
Reviewing data for accuracy.
Precision: Looking for individuals with meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to be flexible and work on different projects.
Other duties may include:
- Collecting data from various sources.
- Maintaining electronic records and logs.
- Filing paperwork.
- Operating office equipment.
Independence: must to be able to keep yourself on task.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations at all times
Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 1+ year(s).
