Notification
Punctual reporting to work and full attendance are basic Company expectations of all employees.
Employees are responsible for understanding and adhering to the attendance requirements, including
the requirement that all employees are in uniform and ready to work at the start of their shift.
Employees who are unable to attend work or who are delayed arriving at work must personally notify
their direct Supervisor as soon as possible, no less than two (2) hours before their shift (and also text
their co-workers if possible to inform them that they will be late), but under no circumstances any later
than the scheduled start time. Employees are also responsible for finding their own coverage for a
missed shift, unless otherwise prohibited, and generally cannot request another employee cover their
shift if it would result in an overtime payment. In addition, employees who are unable to reach the
Manager on Duty must leave a voicemail message, text message or email concerning the delay or
intended absence. It is not acceptable to call a fellow employee who is not a member of management.
Employees who fail to notify their Supervisor in a timely manner may be subject to disciplinary action.
Job Abandonment
Employees who fail to personally notify their Supervisor of their absence for two (2) scheduled
workdays, may be terminated for job abandonment. Job abandonment is considered a voluntary
resignation. In addition, if an employee misses more than three (3) days due to an illness, the company
may require a physician’s certification to return to work.
