This position provides essential administrative support for all functions and day-to-day operations in one of UCLA's three Early Care and Education Centers. The Center Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the child care center and central administration, assist in calendaring, perform special assignments and serve as the focal point for communications; answering phones and screening/redirecting inquiries as appropriate. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, preparing necessary files, preparing and disseminating correspondence and documentation, and implementing office procedures. Responsible for ordering supplies, processing reimbursements and other routine accounting transactions for staff and the central administration utilizing on-line financial systems and assist the department in complying with federal, state, local and private agency regulations and policies, as well as University policies. Will provide support in the enrollment process by qualifying families for tuition assistance and maintain all enrollment records. The Center Administrative Assistant is expected to use mature judgement, informed decision making, concern for details and timeliness, as well as appropriate discretion to deal with complex, confidential, and sensitive issues.
