ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking an assistant account executive to join our dynamic and fun consumer practice team in our NYC office. This position will have a strong focus on consumer brands. The assistant account executive is responsible for maintaining a broader scope of day-to-day account work, including media relations, reporting and supervision of account work done by the assistant account executive and interns on multiple accounts.
Provide client service administration support; attend meetings, handle scheduling, logistics and provide billing support Research, compile and analyze client media coverage Write, edit and proofread materials including press releases, pitch letters, fact sheets and client correspondence Demonstrate general knowledge of social media tools Build lists and pitch media Help supervise interns/trainees Participate in new business process including research and proposal preparation
ABOUT YOU
The candidate will have a bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of experience working in public relations, with agency experience preferred. Must have a solid grasp of all basic public relations tools and how they affect the client. Excellent written and verbal communications skills, strong organizational and multitasking skills, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the facility to drive results and to consistently meet deadlines are a must.
