Assistant Planner

The Assistant Planner is responsible for achieving sales and profit objectives for multiple merchandise categories by providing support to the Planner and working in conjunction with merchandise analysts and multiple buying teams. This responsibility includes conducting relevant business analysis, store level open to buy monitoring, stock balancing, plan development, and vendor matrix development. The Assistant Planner will play a key role in store communication.
Job Requirements:
University or college degree or commensurate retail experience.
Minimum 1 year experience in a merchandising or planning position.
Strong retail math acumen, including elements of markup, margin planning, open to buy, inventory productivity measures, (T/O, GM).
Understanding of merchandise flow and transition.
Ability to research and analyze large amounts of data, draw sound conclusions, make formal recommendations.
Excellent computer skills including MS Word and EXCEL
Ability to work independently. Ability to coordinate cross-functional efforts.
