Purpose and Scope : Designer level position that reports to Senior Design Director / Design Director.
Responsibilities :
Coordinate creations of seasonal design boards. Manage changes to the boards when necessary. Design trims that are pertinent to each style. Work with Senior Design staff to collect trim inspiration for design approvals.
Work with Director to ensure that all flat sketches are created and updated as changes occur.
Assist Director in the selection of all thread weights, SPI, colors, and map out repair machine and hand stitch.
Attend weekly design meetings and update necessary changes.
Ensure that all seasonal records are kept and organized with relevant design history, wash comments, trim submits and approvals, techpaks, artwork, photographs of vintage etc.
Create and archive all illustrations and or flats by season.
Review salesman samples. Check garments are correct for trim and construction. Rework and record any changes in prep for hand off.
Job Requirements :
4 years design experience.
Computer Skills including: Web PDM, Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Office. Excellent organizational skills.
Strong Communication skills.
