This position is located at 1 st Marine Corps District, Garden City, NY. The primary function of this position is to provide technical financial support, especially as to the budgetary/costing of utilities/telecommunications services.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
You must be a US Citizen.
Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal & Regulatory Guidance.
Suitable for Federal employment as determined by background investigation.
Selectee may be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
You must obtain and maintain a security clearance.
DUTIES:
- Generates, prepares, verifies, maintains and reconciles accounts and accounting data
- Examines various documents for accuracy, adequacy, and compliance with regulations
- Enters fiscal obligations, expenses and adjustments directly into automated systems
- Coordinates and tracks telecom and utility company rate changes, fees, tariffs and makes modifications to fiscal year projections and future forecasts
- Ensure proper payment of all invoices
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience in the same or similar work at a level of difficulty and responsibility that has equipped them with the necessary knowledge, skills or abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Creditable specialized experience includes: generating/preparing disbursement vouchers; inputting data in various automated financial systems; processing and extracting budgetary data from a variety of forms, documents and reports; resolving problems in balancing accounts; creating monthly, quarterly and end of fiscal year management usage reports; processing requests affecting new or existing telecommunications/utility services, and auditing inventory equipment and their features.
