Develops and directs endurance sports fundraising campaign in multiple markets. Works directly with chapter staff to create and implement strategies to grow JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes and TeamJDRF Challenge (marathon/half-marathon/cycle/triathlon) campaigns. Assimilates campaign practices for existing programs and develops new, in concert with National, Regional and chapter teams, practices and plans where necessary. Creates campaign plans, timelines, materials, and support activity for TeamJDRF Challenge. Establishes relationships and sets objectives for campaign growth. Detailed Description

• Leads the development, implementation and management of TeamJDRF Challenge endurance sports training program in 7 JDRF chapters. Utilizes existing National resources and adapts established practices to local markets.
• Partners with National and chapter staff and volunteers in the growth of the JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes campaign. Provides direct and indirect support in growing campaigns locally.
• In partnership with National campaign and training staff, develops all event training programs, presentations and materials. Delivers campaign training and support to all assigned chapters.
• Assist assigned chapters in targeting and recruiting effective volunteer leadership. Promote the development of Ride and TeamJDRF Challenge programs by identifying and recruiting new volunteers, event participants, and by conducting feasibility studies to assess the potential of new markets.
• Expand and develop event fundraising programs by researching best practices and sharing information with appropriate staff.
• Assesses and recommends ways to strengthen the effectiveness and efficiency of assigned campaigns within the region through effective data management and technical trouble-shooting.
• Ensures that all assigned chapters develop and annually monitor their progress against strategic growth plans that link to the JDRF growth vision.

Job Requirements Five + (5+) years of fundraising or business experience, including 3 to 5 years of demonstrated success in endurance sports fundraising programs. CFRE a plus. Knowledge of fundraising and non-event fundraising activities is a must. Candidate must be a self-starter. Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to interface with all levels of staff and volunteers. Excellent interpersonal skills. Computer literate. Additional Details JDRF is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
