NYITâs Central Islip campus seeks a full-time Manager, Campus Dining, responsible for managing and operating the Campus Dining facility. Candidate will be responsible for developing menus and recipes for board plans, catering operations and summer camp programs. Responsibilities also include adherence to HACCP policies and procedures, costing, budgeting, placing orders, following standardized recipes, and meeting the dietary needs of the students who reside at the Central Islip campus. Other duties include training and scheduling for all staff, daily opening and closing of the Campus Dining area, and handling cash and other payment options. Candidate must also be available for a flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
Qualifications:
Position requires a two year culinary degree or 3-5 years of chef supervisor experience in a high volume food service dining environment, possess a valid Suffolk County Serve-Safe Certificate, a valid New York State driverâs license and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and computer (MS Office) skills are also required.
