As a Physical Therapist for the Warrior Transition Unit (WTU), you will:

Perform the primary evaluation,diagnosis, and plan/execute treatment prog! rams for patients seeking care of neuromusculoskeletal disorde! rs.
Order and reviews Magnetic Resonance Imaging studies (MRI's), bone scans, other radiology to develop initial impression.
Recommend appropriate casts, splints, and/or braces .
Prescribe analgesics and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory compounds.
Determine when to make changes in treatment methods or termination of the treatment program when appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:Minimum Qualifications:
• Degree: that included or was supplemented by (1) a physical therapy curriculum approved by a recognized professional accrediting organization at the time the curriculum was completed, and (2) the clinical affiliation requirements prescribed by the school.
• Licensure/Certification: current, active, valid, and unrestricted license as a Physical Therapist from a U.S. State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction.
• Specialized Experience: One year of experience in the same or sim! ilar work equivalent to at least the next lower level (GS-11) requiring application of the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the position being filled. Candidates for this position must clearly demonstrate in their resume that they possess specialized experience involving evaluating physical therapy patients, creating
physical therapy treatment plans, and progressing physical therapy treatment
for patients using a variety of techniques.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:
Knowledge of Physician Extender role
Skill in Physical Therapy service
Skill in administration and communicaton
