Our products are also used in detection, measurement and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea and aircraft; automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment. Mini-Circuits’ sells our products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales representatives, as well as through our extensive web site.
Job Purpose

Responsible for full ownership & improvement efforts for our end to end logistics, transportation, & import/export compliance processes, including managing the business relati! onships, performance & spend with key logistics, freight forwa! rding & transportation providers. Manage the full import/export processes so we are fully compliant with all relevant laws & regs (ECCN, ITAR, HTS, Restricted Party Screening). Manage an effective trade compliance operation across a global supply chain network.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Document, maintain & improve import/export compliance processes to ensure company-wide awareness & compliance to government regulatory requirements.
  • Manage our master tariff classification database & monitor global tariff classification, regulatory & legislative changes to translate into business plans.
  • Support the development & implementation of automated systems for global trade compliance information; identify, recommend standard/automated global trade compliance reporting & tracking tools
  • Support rapid customer orders processing & delivery, removing any blockages on item classification, country of origin, or logistics
  • Investigate &! analyze potential matters of non-compliance with internal trade policies & export/import laws & regulations & identify & implement corrective actions.
  • Expedite clearance & release of shipments that have been delayed by Customs and other gov’t agencies as required; coordinate the release of goods with carriers.
  • Ensure compliance with trade regs, product classification, valuation, quantity, origin declaration and Free Trade Agreement eligibility.
  • Support the selection of logistics service providers & freight forwarders to manage transportation operations & continuously improve transportation processes with particular focus on cycle time & cost reduction opportunities.
  • Analyze all aspects of international logistics to determine the most cost-effective or efficient means of transporting products that meets budget performance & minimizes transit time.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Su! pply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field. Masters a +

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of global customs & trade compliance, logistics experience managing third part suppliers, & managing import/export/transportation activity in a global operation.
  • Extensive knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, incl: HTS classification, valuation, origin determination, Free Trade Agreements, recordkeeping, compliance monitoring, audits/assessment, & restricted party screening.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with managing service levels (quality, cost, cycle time & delivery) of logistics and freight forwarder service providers. Development & management of service level agreements & key performance indicators to manage relationship.
  • Detail oriented with emphasis on following up in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills & ability to influence others through proven expertise.

  • Proficiency in MS Office with advanced skills in Excel for analysis, planning & reporting.
