Description: MTV is at present looking to employ Director Facilities, Critical Operations right now, this career will be placed in New York. This position is responsible for daily management and supervision of the facility maintenance operations at (3) three locations, Hauppauge NY, Nashville DR & Se! caucus NJ. Coordinates, plans, implements and evaluates facilities activities relative to multiple locations. This includes but is not limited to space management, budget planning, upkeep of space, construction projects and supervising building services & maintenance. Work is performed independently with general supervision by the Senior Vice president of CORE Services.

Responsibilities:
Supervise maintenance staff and vendors that provide support to employee population at (3) 24/7 critical locations

Oversee preventative maintenance vendors; implement procedures, policies and frequencies

Provide oversight and coordination of work being performed by Facilities maintenance technicians Ensure that Viacom Facilities procedures are being adhered to

Meet with Facilities maintenance personnel daily to identify upcoming events and review issues

Review daily walk through sheets submitted by Facilities Technicians and resolve is! sues

Provide quality control inspection and develop r! eports related to work being performed by maintenance staff as dictated by established maintenance schedules

Supervise labor for special projects and events to ensure all facilities services are being provided

Responsibility for space allocation and assignment, space inventory, space needs projections and planning including expansion and consolidation. Maintain detailed records

Implement projects and upgrades from start up to close out including budget development, construction document analysis, specification analysis, code analysis

This position is also responsible for updating floor plans and maintaining a detailed database of all space including location, vacant space, storage, employees and equipment

First contact for building emergencies and security issues

Ensure security procedures are implemented and that contacts and procedures are up-to-date

Assists in the preparation of the facilities budget by track! ing expenses per vendor and long range planning for prospective projects

Monitors budgets and expenditures and prepares ad hoc special reports as needed

Works closely with the Finance Department on invoicing and billing, capital expenditures and capital project requests

Other duties as required

Basic Qualifications:
10 years experience managing staff

5-7 years experience in Facilities Management

Critical facility experience

Experience with generators, ATS, switches gear, BMS & Fire alarm systems, UPS etc.

Knowledge of blueprint and construction documents is necessary, including recognition of general construction, HVAC, electrical and plumbing drawings

Proficient with means and methods

Excellent knowledge of building and fire codes required

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint) MS Project, BMS systems, and PLANON cafm system helpful
Overtime and weekend work may be required

Desired Qua! lifications:
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with attention to detail

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Excellent follow up, written and verbal communication skills required

Education:
BA/BS in facility management, Project management or related degree preferred
