Our client is a boutique New York based algorithmic trading house, currently home to 40 employees. The firm has a strong team of technologists building a cutting edge equities system and through continued expansion we are seeking a senior java developer to take key role on the design and development of their equities system. This is a senior role and you will be the lead developer, working closely alongside the CTO. For this reason the team is seeking a candidate who has deep experience building equity trading platforms and strong design/architecture skills.

Responsibilities for Senior/Lead Java Developer - Greenfield Algorithmic Trading System - Manhattan, New York

• Work alongside CTO in design and development of a cutting edge algo trading system
• Join a small and focused team of technologists in the New York office
• Design/architecture of the front end of the system
• Mentor junior! developers
• Innovate and introduce cutting edge techn! ologies (knowledge of scala/python would be a plus)

Skill Set Required for Senior/Lead Java Developer - Greenfield Algorithmic Trading System - Manhattan, New York

• Strong Core Java Design and Development Skills
• Messaging
• Multi-threading
• Experience designing robust front office equities trading systems (order management, connectivity, market data etc)
• Very good communication skills
• Secondary programming skills in C#, Scala, Python a plus
• Strong education (MSc/PhD preferred)
