Responsibilities
The Application Consultant manages the impact of technology implementation to optimize clinical work processes. The Application Consultant analyzes business and client processes to integrate and align applications to Cerner standards and client's needs. They resolve customer concerns raised during installation, operation, maintenance, or product application, along with compatibility matters. The Application Consultant must have expertise in diagnosing problems and coordinating the appropriate additional resources to determine and deliver resolution.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equi! valent experience in health care related knowledge or experience and/or information management
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously/project management experience
Troubleshooting experience (software and hardware experience)
Must live in or be willing to reside in Rutland, VT
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of such Patient Financial Services processes as:
Processing of payer claims using the MedAssets Claim Manager tool
Production of billing statements using third party software to produce these statements
Creation and maintenance of Billing rules within Cerner’s ProFit module
Creation and maintenance of user work queues within Cerner’s ProFit module
Understanding of Revenue Cycle workflows from billing to filing into the General Ledger system.
Understanding of X12 file formats and ho! w 835 and 837 file formats work in the Revenue Cycle workflow.
! A working knowledge of HL7 and XML interface specifications
