Our client located in New York City is seeking and immediate contract role for an Information Security Associate.
Job Description:
- Perform applicati! on security reviews, threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, and penetration testing.
- Perform vendor security risk assessments.
- Perform information security risk assessments of information technology assets based on the SAFR (or NIST) framework.
- Perform local incident response support .
- Provide information security subject matter expertise to developers, engineers, and business customers on risk assessments, vulnerability remediation, and threat detection techniques. Write technical reports based on findings and recommendations.
- Ability to perform information security risk assessments of Bank systems based upon SAFR policy (which is based on the NIST framework).
- Demonstrated ability to develop, test, and implement security plans.
- Strong knowledge of current security threats, techniques, and landscape.
- Ability to understand and synthe! size technical issues to technical and non-technical business ! representatives.
- Exceptional analytical, critical thinking and decision making skills.
- Knowledge of information security fundamentals.
- Team player with excellent consultative, communication, writing and project management skills.
- Ability to analyze and review security cases until closure; this includes investigating and recommending appropriate corrective actions for cyber security incidents; and communicating with the implementation staff responsible or taking corrective actions.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of work or equivalent work experience
- Possession of or the ability to obtain and maintain national security clearance
- Possession of or the ability to obtain CISSP or similar security certification.
