This position recruits, trains and prepares participants for potential job opportunities. The Employment Recruiter determines participants’ job! readiness, refers them to the Job Developer, and manages the ongoing participant relationship.
Essential Functions:
Recruits and identifies participants in the Back 2 Work (B2W) program who are job ready and who can fill open job opportunities.
Prepares participants, in both individual and group settings, to be successful on the job by providing training, coaching, and support.
Implements sector-based training curricula with the goal of participants gaining the skills necessary to be job ready.
Assesses, screens and matches participants with job openings in Back 2 Work.
Interviews participants, provides feedback, and makes assessment as to suitability for job opportunities.
Reviews and edits participant’s resume to reflect job requirements.
Refers appropriate participants to Job Developers/Account Liaisons.
Updates on-line B2W system with participants’ progress toward employment.
Bachelor’s Degree in staffing or ! human resources related field required.
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills.
Prior experience in motivating participants to seek job opportunities and to prepare for the work.
Must be comfortable in talking with candidates about their dress, hygiene, backgrounds, etc.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Proficiency with working in an automated on-line system.
Required Experience
In addition to Bachelor’s Degree, a minimum of one (1) year of experience in employment program or staffing company, matching clients and jobs required.
