Th! e Product Manager is responsible for several complex projects at the same time, often all of the various components that comprise kits or entire state customizations.

The Product Manager gathers and communicates reliable information to all departments about assigned print, technology, and online projects. This information includes product specifications, schedule guidelines and production process information, some financial information, and current project status information. The Product Manager must understand the interdependencies of multiple projects, and be able to anticipate when a delay on one project will impact other projects' production schedules.

The Product Manager has a good understanding of the fundamentals of the digital development process, ideally with experience and familiarity with children's developmental stages as they relate to educational and consumer content. This individual demonstrates excellent organization and written and verbal ! communication skills and practical problem solving abilities.

The Product Manager must be able to work independently, and must also be able to work as a member of a diverse group. The Product Manager works closely with the Project Managers and Program Managers in the PMO's office and take additional direction from them.

This manager will be creative and current with latest kids' educational media and product trends as the job also involves consumer research, critical analysis of current properties and assets and identification of new opportunities for educational brands and products.

The Manager will work with a wide network of people such as internal stakeholders in the Trade and Marketing teams, outside vendors and licensee. He/She will oversee product development on educational products and day-to-day marketing tactics. The Manager will ensure brand integrity on all external communications and products including marketing materials & media, ret! ail presence, licensed goods, etc.

As a member of the Consumer! Brands team, will report weekly results and activities during team and department meetings. The Manager will immediately communicate to the Director issues affecting implementation and timing of consumer educational brand strategies and product launches. At all times will integrate corporate objectives into brand management strategies.

Requirements
*
BA/BS in related field or equivalent project management experience;

*
2-5 years in digital publishing, and/or websites & technology

*
3-5 years of related industry or functional experience

*
Strong communication and leadership skills.

*
Ability to leverage technology and people to solve problems creatively

*
High level of organization; ability to manage several projects simultaneously, and prioritize.

*
Also, knows when to respectfully request guidance and assistance from different levels of divisional management.

*
Unde! rstanding of the digital development process, and eagerness to learn more.

*
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Project, Filemaker Pro, Powerpoint, Notes and other database software; understanding the fundamentals of SAP, SCEnt, other software applications as needed.

*
Preferred: PMP certification; kids' new media or educational media experience, experience in an entrepreneurial or start-up environment
