Editorial Assistant

Location: New York, New York

Description: The Infatuation is employing Editorial Assistant right now, this vacancy will be settled in New York. Detailed specification about this vacancy opportunity kindly read the description below. The Infatuation is looking for an Editorial Assistant to work with members of our national editorial team on city guides, new city launches, and to grow existing markets like Austin, Washington D.C., and more. This individual should have exceptional organizational skills, a passion for restaurants, and strong editing/proofreading/writing abilities that will help our editors develop some of our newer and smaller markets. Also pretty important: the ability to copy edit, eat lunch, and keep our succulents alive simultaneously. Just kidding, mostly.

Responsibilities

• Manage photo shoot schedules
• Keep our content management system organized and up-to-date
• Write monthly/quarterly newsletters for multiple smaller market cities
• Help to fill out our restaurant finder with new restaurant postings
• Editorial research (calling restaurants and fact-checking)
• Copy-editing site content
• Assist in managing special editorial projects
• Run Instagram accounts for smaller market cities

Qualifications

• Self-starter, you take initiative but also know when to ask for help
• Some editorial experience preferred - you don't need to be a seasoned ve t, but you should have some experience with and enthusiasm for editing
• No food media experience required, but we hope you’re into restaurants
• Organized, team player, and excited about building The Infatuation brand
