What you'll be doing day to day
As a Safety & Security Worker, helping to maintain a safe work environment at our Distribution / Customer Fulfillment Center, you will:
- Ensure compliance with IKEA Risk Management Standards on a consistent basis via audits, follow-up, education and training and reports.
- Respond to all accidents and provide basic first aid and/or CPR.
- Perform accident investigations and complete reports.
- Ensure building and premises security, monitor security video feeds and respond to alarms.
- Respond to various security situations including but not limited to injuries, medical events, natural disasters, theft, threats, fraud, misconduct and trespassing.
- Work in partnership with the Safety and Security Manager and other unit leadership to investigate sensitive issues.
- Intake and report injuries slip and falls, near misses and Workers Compensation incidents to the relevant partners via electronic reporting and phone systems.
- Contribute to an environment where IKEA culture is strong and embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Safety and security experience preferred
- Knowledge of security protocols and alarm system equipment and software monitoring.
- Experience with investigation methodology and disaster response.
- Strong communication skills
- Computer proficient Requirements
- Ability to lift, sit, stand, and walk for length of shift
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
