The temporary Production Assistant provides support to Producers and Associate Producers with all phases of project from pre-production to post-production including, but not limited to, scripting, travel and lodging, booking crew, call sheets, daily shoot schedule, and day to day pre-production and administrative needs. The Production Assistant also supports Producers, Associate Producers and crew on location shoots.
Essential Job Functions
60%-Supports Producers and Associate Producers by coordinating day-to-day pre-production tasks. Develops and communicates shoot schedules and call sheets. Conducts research from reputable sources. Coordinates travel arrangements for guests and crew. 20%-Performs post-production editing of MVS videos to ensure they meet high quality standards as set forth by MVS and MVS customers. 20%-Other administrative duties as assigned by Producers or Associate Producers.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
Associate's degree or equivalent. Bachelors’ degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or a related field strongly preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of Associate Producer experience on a location or studio production. Past experience in content preparation is preferred.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency with Avid, Final Cut, and Microsoft Office highly desired. Strong computer skills. Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Good verbal and written communication skills. Script writing and editorial experience is preferred. Professional phone skills. Ability to work in a creative, fast-paced environment. Ability to make quick effective decisions without losing composure. Must be able to multi-task and manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously, professionally. Must possess a valid driver's license.
