Responsible for the corrective maintenance, PM implementation, and surveillance testing requirements. Conveys vision, mission and core values and leads achievement of department and site-wide goals. Leads the activities of a department including first line supervisors, craft, and clerical personnel. Coordinates the activities of subordinate units through supervisors. Maximizes the value of the enterprise for our industry, community, employees, and Constellation/shareholders.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Essential Job Functions) 1. Directs, controls, and coordinates the routine electrical maintenance activities at the nuclear plant. Ensures quality, quantity and promptness of work performance against accepted standards. 2. Communicates Company policies and practices. Promotes two-way communications with employees and resolves employee concerns using appropriate resources, as necessary. Assumes responsibility for the proper application of established employee policies including authorization of overtime. 3. Enforces accident prevention and occupational health work procedures and housekeeping regulations. Ensures safekeeping of materials, tools and equipment. 4. Recommends improvements and modifications in organization, procedures, policies, standards, specifications, methods, processes, and equipment within the area of general supervision. 5. Conducts and completes performance evaluations at regularly scheduled times to identify subordinate strengths and weaknesses and discusses career goals. Provides accurate, timely and constructive performance feedback in order to help others improve and succeed. Seeks opportunities to provide appropriate recognition. Conducts coaching in a positive and productive manner. Counsels employees concerning work problems and productivity. 6. Is accountable for planning, budgeting, and personnel decisions for the Electrical Maintenance. 7. Participates in industry conferences and interfaces with other utilities as station representative for the function. 8. Sponsors various projects and initiatives. 9. Assumes line ownership of the Electrical Maintenance training programs. 10. Interfaces regularly with industry regulators. 11. May be appointed as a member of the emergency response team.
Qualifications JOB SPECIFICATIONS: (Required knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, ANSI qualifications, tests, and other bona fide occupational qualifications) 1. Meets the requirements of ANSI N18.1-1971 (FLEET) and ANSI 3.1-1978 (NMP). 2. Knowledgeable in Nuclear Power Plant operations, license and design basis, maintenance processes and systems. 3. Organizational development experience, such as teambuilding, goal setting, and change management. 4. Supervisory experience such as performance management, coaching and counseling, and resource utilization. 5. Written and oral communication skills and the ability to influence others and clearly state the vision and desired outcomes. 6. Experienced in budget and vendor contract administration. 7. Knowledgeable in company policies and procedures. 8. Knowledgeable in the use of personal computers and Microsoft Office Suite. 9. Strong analytical and problem solving skills coupled with the ability to make and implement decisions.

OTHER: (physical requirements, working conditions, etc.) 1. Ability to meet and maintain unescorted access requirements of a nuclear power plant. 2. Ability to work additional hours to support on-going plant operations and refueling outages. Must be available for on-call status. 3. Ability to observe and oversee work in nuclear power plant environment including confined spaces and areas accessible by ladder and narrow passages. 4. Ability to withstand exposure to high noise and extreme temperatures. 5. Ability to read, write, and analyze reports and written materials. 6. Ability to see, hear and speak to perform assigned tasks and maintain proper job safety conditions. 7. Ability to serve on emergency response team, when called. 8. Regular and consistent attendance is essential to the performance of the position. 9. May perform other duties as assigned.
