What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

- Demonstrates working knowledge or proficiency in one or m! ore assigned areas of responsibility
- May also require material handling equipment certification
- Accurately performs multiple operational tasks assigned to the individual
- Demonstrates basic material handling/ packaging /warehouse equipment skills
- Performs one or more warehouse operations functions within the operating guidelines of the facility
- Demonstrates effective oral communication skills
Accountabilities in this role
- Ability to work in a fast paced distribution environment while meeting established distribution quotas and standards
- Performs one or more warehouse operational functions within the guidelines of the facility (receive/put-away product, pick, pack, wrap or load customer orders)
- Ability to work in accordance with safety requirements
- Ability to work at heights of up to 25 feet in the air on a consistent basis
- Ability to work o! vertime, lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and stand for 8-10 hours per day
- Ability to work with a moderate degree of supervision
- Ability to apply knowledge and skills to complete tasks within own area
- High School diploma or GED required
- 1-2 years warehouse/distribution center experience preferred
- 1-2 years of Order Picker and Reach Truck (forklift) equipment experience preferred or willingness to train for material handling license
- Other material handling equipment experience (MHE) & radio frequency (RF) scanner experience is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft office preferred
- Good written communication skills
