Responsibilities
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS, GRAND CENTRAL TERMINAL, NYC
Jones Lang LaSalle, the world's leading real estate services firm, seeks a Director of Operations to join our Retail group in New York City. This individual will be res! ponsible for supporting the operations of all retail and food ! service tenants at Grand Central Terminal.
Responsibilities:
 Operations and engineering, including mechanical systems and construction.
 Lead, train, motivate, and develop a team of four operating engineers.
 Emergency preparedness planning.
 Work with railroad personnel responsible for operation of the base building systems and the public areas of the Terminal.
 Contract for and supervise services including janitorial; metal maintenance; hood, duct, and grease trap cleaning.
 Ensure compliance with guidelines for deliveries, safety, sanitation, and pest control.
 Financial control, including purchasing, budgeting, and financial performance review.
 Oversee design review and tenants’ leasehold improvements on behalf of the Landlord.
Qualifications
Requirements:
 Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others
 Excellent oral and written communi! cation skills
 Ability to organize details, prioritize, and meet deadlines
 Thorough understanding of building systems and equipment
 Knowledge of local codes and regulations
 Proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Word and Excel
 Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years related work experience
 Experience with food service operations and/or retail is preferred
