Location: New York

Department Summary:
Forever 21 is seeking innovative, energetic, and
passionate member to add to our dynamic Retail Design
team

Job Purpose:
The Associate for Building/Finishing will partner with
the Retail Design Team to understand creative concepts
and create sample in-store visual props. The Associate
will apply decorative finishes to props and visual
elements to create samples of in-store visual props.

Deliverables:

• Partner with the Retail Design Development team to

acquire necessary materials, supplies and tools
required to meet the ongoing demand of visual props

• Collaborate with the Visual Production and V! isual

Creative teams to understand sample prop
! specifications to deliver accurate and complete
samples

• Develop and build items needed for in-store visual

props, marketing events, photo shoots and other
various projects

• Decorate items completely, including the use of

paint and craft mediums (paper mache, spray paint,
house paint, etc.) when necessary

• Finalize visual prop samples through decoration and

modification using hand power tools

• Complete all build assignments by assigned deadlines

to support new store openings, store remodels, etc.

• Collaborate with other Visual Production Builders to

successfully complete projects by demonstrating
effective teamwork, communication and organization
skills

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:

• High school diploma required
• Some previous experience in a building,

construction, or finishing role is! required

• Must have working knowledge of all types of hand

tools and power tools; must be skilled in
woodworking and constructing props visual
enhancements

• Must have an understanding of mechanics and possess

the ability to engineer an idea into working visual
elements with focus on easy installation at the
store level

• Must be comfortable working with paint craft mediums

including paper mache, spray paint, house paint,
etc.

• Ability to prioritize and manage workload to meet

business needs

• Must be willing and able to perform physical

activity that may include climbing a ladder,
kneeling and reaching on a frequent basis; may need
to life up to 35lbs on a regular basis

• Flexible schedule to meet business needs; Must be

able to follow defined safety procedures

• Willing to travel up to 50% of the time! if required;

flexible schedule to meet business needs

Must be fluent in English; bilingual in Spanish is

strongly preferred
