Admissions and Thesis Coordinator

Reporting to the Director of the IHN and the Director of the MS Program, the Admission & Thesis Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of admissions to the MS program and ! completion of the MS thesis.
Responsibilities: In conjunction with the MS program Director, the Admission & Thesis Coordinator spearheads and coordinates admissions, registration and course evaluation processes for MS program, facilitates recruitment activities and special events, and provides support for the MS faculty.
Coordinate admissions process for MS program
- Manage online application and excel database
- Answer applicant questions via email/phone
- Organize open houses for prospective students (4x Fall; 6x Spring; 3x Summer)
- Prepare and distribute decision letters
- Track student acceptances
- Prepare weekly reports
- Disseminates MS admissions, housing, VISA, financial aid and Orientation information to accepted students
- Track MS applications and enrollment to inform budgetary planning
- Recruitment trips (2-3x year) !
- Email Recruitment
- Maintain current Recruitment m! aterials
- Train MS Alumni and Student Ambassadors
- Manage CourseWorks assignments
- Oversee log of submissions throughout each semester
- Complete Change of Grade forms as necessary
- Manage MS Course Evaluation prep, distribution and release of results (Fall & Spring)
- Coordinate submission of thesis projects and degree applications
- Assist in sending letters of recommendation for current MS students and alumni
- Facilitate special events
- Prepare course materials; parking requests; room reservation; etc.
Develop and maintain system for tracking MS alumni thesis publications and posting them on the IHN Website
Provide consultation fo! r Director and Associate Director of the MS program as requested
Assists with MS Mentor Involvement
Performs related duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications for Grade
Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant
Requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in training, education and/or experience plus a minimum of two (2) years related experience .
Additional Position-Specific Minimum Qualifications
Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant
Master's preferred;
Experience in an academic health institution is preferable;
Highly effective organizational skills;
Knowledge and experience with complex information and computer systems;
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population of faculty, staff and students;
Ability to work well with a team and independently;
Effective communication! /presentation skills;
Ability to establish realistic and achievable! priorities to achieve Institute goals and objectives;
Demonstrates ability to be innovative/creative and to take initiative in a range of tasks as assigned;
