World leading video game development platform provider is looking for a talented, energetic sales executive to join our growing sales team.
The critical success factors for this role are:
Generate revenue from licensing our development tools to videogame developers in North America;
Contribute to developing a framework and sales process that can support our exponential growth; and
Serve the needs of our enterprise customers.
We are looking for someone that has exposure working with CTOs,! Development Teams, and decision makers and is able to communi! cate that value proposition in a meaningful way. In the gaming space, we *need* to have someone that knows games. He or she needs to be able to comfortably navigate that conversation without coming across as "sales-y".
Education and Relevant Experience:
Passion for video games
Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets
Several years of strong experience working on technology licensing, middleware sales, or game publishing
Solid understanding of the video game industry and video game development
10+ years business development or similar experience
Extensive rolodex of contacts and the ability to network to get to anyone to generate new business
Goals and Responsibilities:
Identify new licensing opportunities;
Structure, negotiate and close license deals in order to meet or exceed revenue targets;
Establish and nurture relationships with key par! tners at every level;
Work with various divisions (including Development, Marketing, Support, Finance and Legal) to gain support for key initiatives and deals; and
Assist in the development of pricing, product and market strategies.
Skills and Abilities:
Expertise in customer qualification, contract negotiation and deal closing;
Experience and comfort with the technical aspect of video game development and the technical sales process;
You are not expected to be a technical expert (we have Field Sales Engineers that will support the sales process); however, you need to be comfortable with a technical sales process and pitching to CTOs; and
Self starter who can operate and thrive working independently.
This role will include 90-180 days of travel per year.
Location: New York City, Boston or Montreal preferred, but will consider applicants throughout the entire East Coast.
