- Position Summary:
The Assistant Director shares the responsibility for the day to day operations of the Engineering department with the Director of Engineering. This individual also serves as Engineering Director in the absence of the Director. The Assistant Director coordinates and manages all duties of Plant Operations and General Maintenance within the Department of Engineering.

The Assistant Director assists the Engineering Director in coordinating duties in other areas of the department as well as budgeting, strategic planning, JCAHO regulatory guidelines, and cost control.
- Qualifications:
A. Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in management or other business related field preferred.
B. Training and Experience:
3 years supervisory experience in maintenance or plant operations preferred.
C. Job Knowledge:
General knowledge of institutional maintenance and plant operations as well as Life Safety Code procedures.
