GENERAL SUMMARY- As an integral part of the team, the Support Associate is responsible for activities which support patient focused care within the Care Center: ! These include:
- Maintaining the Care Center and patient rooms in a clean, safe and functional condition
- Patient, equipment, specimen transportation.
- Order, receives and stores supplies.
1. Maintains Care Center and patient rooms in a safe, clean and functional condition by completing sanitary and housekeeping tasks in a timely manner and according to established procedures.
2. Performs emergency clean-up of housekeeping tasks according to established procedures.
3. Transports patients on stretchers, beds or wheelchairs. Transports specimens, equipment and patient belongings according to established procedures.
4. Monitors reports and corrects (if appropriate) any unsafe or dysfunctional conditions. Initiate and follow-up on requisitions for maintenance and/or repair.
5. Maintains in-wall cabinet stock at par level. Initiate and follow-up on requi! sitions for equipment and/ or repair
6. Obtain patien! ts charts and test orders requests according to established procedures.
7. Other duties as assigned, including generating reports.
SHARED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-
- It is expected that all Center based employees will function as members of a team dedicated to provide the highest quality patient care and services to our patients by assisting in such functions as maintaining a safe clean environment, answering phones, transporting patients and assisting visitors.
HIgh School diploma or GED required. Must speak, understand, read, and write English.
