We are looking for a detail-oriented and relationship-driven Billing Specialist to be a trusted partner to our clients and operations group. The Billing Specialist plays an integral part of our dynamic organization, responsible for a broad range of responsibilities in support of the overall finance function but with a primary focus on billing and accounts receivable.
The ideal individual possesses a high sense of urgency, a passion for continuous learning, and puts relationships, integrity, and authenticity front and center to make their 90,000 hours matter for something beyond punching a clock.
This is a full-time remote position reporting to the Employee Operations Manager.

You’re excited about this role because you’ll get to:
· Manage the creation and distribution of all client invoices across multiple service line and project structures in a timely and accurate manner
· Oversee the collections process, ensuring payment is in line with contractual obligations and escalating as appropriate
· Conduct analysis and complete factoring reports and invoices
· Review and align billing/invoicing procedure to address company and client requirements
· Maintain and comply with third-party vendor invoicing procedures
· Run and send regular reports on key financial metrics to leadership
· Maintain records of invoices and payments in Bullhorn Backoffice
· Issue credit memos and updated invoices to clients as needed
· Contact clients to ensure payment of overdue outstanding invoices
· Partner closely with Payroll Team to ensure accuracy of billable hours
· Provide excellent customer service to client inquiries
- Run credit checks for new clients
- Provide timely and responsive resolution to other teams and external partners for any finance and/or billing requests
· Manage ad-hoc projects, as needed
We’re excited about you because you:
· Have 3+ years billing experience (previous experience in a staffing industry and/or start up are strongly preferred)
· Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office products
· Possess excellent organization and prioritization skills
· Pride yourself on the quality of your work
· Love process improvement and have been successful at implementing ideas to do things better or more efficiently
· Have a penchant for attention to detail, regularly exercise sound judgment, and are able handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
· Can strike up a conversation with anyone and communicate effectively throughout all levels of the company
· Demonstrate a high sense of urgency, “one team” mindset, and positive attitude
